From the Edirot's Pen
With the dawn of the year 2021, we saw a ray of hope of bringing our life on track again after the constant disappointments and distress caused by the necessary restrictions imposed by the government due to corona pandemic. The virus was on the wane and we could think of doing our work like before by following all safety measures. But nobody thought that the second wave of corona will hit India so hard that within a few months the country would witness a record jump in covid virus infections across the nation.Health infrastructure failed to provide hospital beds for patients and seemed to becollapsed due to insufficient oxygen supplies and critical anti covid-19 drugs which resultedin spreading distress among the people.
Even in this grim situation, we saw inventions and productionsof drugs and vaccines with the collaboration of multiple industries like DRDO, SII and Bharat biotech. In future we will see more such initiatives and collaboration for bringing India outof this pandemic. Hats off to GOI! India has proven again why it is called a ‘pharmacy to the world’. However, at current times India is struggling from different covid mutations.Corona virus can become stronger over the time. India would have to fight with better preparedness and pragmatic approach. A reverse trend is being noticed in the second wave as more youngsters and children are getting infected. It is advisory for parents to strictly follow the vaccination schedule of their families and to be better prepared before next Covid wave. The third wave is also being predicted to come soon and to be dangerous for the children. So It is necessary to follow all the safety measures by all.
It seems that children are still far from getting back to school but hope always leaps over disappointments. So we believe that one day we will reunite under the same roof. And the school premises will blossom with the arrival of children.Till then, Stay Home, Stay Safe.
