MAHA SHIVRATRI
The Darkest day of the Month ShivratriThe 14th day of lunar month or the day before the new moon is known as Shivratri. It is very significant for the people who are on the spiritual path. People signified the day as the wedding anniversary of “ Lord Shiva” & “ Mata Parvati”.
Those with worldly ambition see this day as the day Shiva conquered all his enemies.
On this night, the northern hemisphere of the planet is positioned in such a way that there is a natural upsurge of energy in a human being. This is a day when nature is pushing one towards ones spiritual peak. This festival celebrates night long to allow this natural upsurge of energies, overnight the spine remain vertical throughout the night.
In the yogic tradition , Shiva is considered as “Adi Guru” first guru who originated Yoga. Shiva means “that which is not, that which is creation” means if you open your eyes, small things you will see lots of creation and if you look big things, you will see the biggest presence in the existence is a vast emptiness.
