From the Editor Pane
First of all I welcome all the students and staff members of AMI Shishu Mandir to the new Academic session 2017-18.
This is a new beginning, a new session for all of us. So stop worrying about the past and look towards the future. A new goal is waiting for us to achieve. So get up and get set go……..
Further, we also need to be aware of our surroundings. Everything happening around us affects us or our families in one or the other way. Be it the introduction of GST or the Prime Minister’s visit to Israel or President Trump coming and meeting the Indian PM in the UN meeting. Though sometimes we do not care to know anything in this regard but we as future generation of India need to be aware of these things. Further, it increases our knowledge and Logical Power, which is going to help in our future. Only getting good marks is not enough.
I request and hope that you will pay heed to it and will be a little more LOGICAL.

After rejuvenating summer vacations of two months, we all are here to learn new skills, values and behaviors ; and to expand the depth of our knowledge and experience. The ability to learn is possessed by humans. Learning does not happen all at once. It builds upon and is shaped by previous knowledge. It is a life-long process.
Every child is a competent learner from birth. Children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. The environment plays a key role in supporting a child’s development. We need to give children opportunities to develop trust and autonomy, which will nurture confidence, self-esteem and courage and allow them to develop as spontaneous creative individuals.
Effective teachers understand that learning is about exploring the unknown and such exploration begins with questions; questions that open a door to deeper understanding. Students learn when teachers show them how much they need to learn. So when it comes to teaching, what you do is nearly as important as what you say. After all your students are watching you. . .. . .

Importance of Festival
We all love celebrations, and we all love festivals. We celebrate different kinds of festivals. India is a country of diverse culture, different people from different religions stay here with peace and harmony. All religions have there own festivals but in India people of every religion celebrate each and every festival. Festivals are good and best way of showing happiness. We met many people in festivals, in today's new industrial era we all are busy in study, earning our livelihood , we do not have time to spend with are family members and our relative's. All elders gave wishes to all their younger’s on festivals . We celebrate many festivals like diwali, holi, pongal, eid, Christmas, sankranti, republic day, independence day etc. As we all know that in ancient times British ruled on our country and we fight for our independence so we celebrate that day as a independence day, so we can say that festivals are the good way of showing courage and sacrifices of our great leaders and fighters who fight for our independence festivals are very in our life because they are the only source of meeting those people whom we can not meet in our day to day life. Festivals increases love among people, every dispute get solved on festivals because those peoples who do not get chance to solve their problems will meet happily by forgetting all about the disputes. Some of the important Hindu festivals are Holi, Diwali, Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja. In Bihar Chhath is a great festival. Chhath is a worship of the sun. The sun gives us light and also life. So, the Hindus regard the sun as a god and worship him. We used to respect each and every festival and celebrate every festival happily with full enjoy and love. Festival create a sense of cultural unity and brotherhood they they also inspire a sense of purity in our life. Festival s teach us lesson of unity in diversity Muskan Sharma- 9th B -
How can Students build our Nation strong
The future of any country depends upon its students. A country’s name and fame rest on the educated youth. In other words, the students are the real treasure of any country. They are more important for a country like India. If the energy of the students is directed to constructive purposes, the whole country will taste the all round development. Some great man has rightly said,” *Give me the children and I will change the nation." A nation can progress if its youth is sincere and educated. So most of it depends upon the students. India is fortunate that more than 60% of the total population of the country are young men. And most of them are the students. These young people can do a lot in the development work of the country. They can do a lot of tasks for giving their contribution to this development. There a large no of illiterate people in the country. Students can teach these illiterate people of their neighborhood, nearby localities and in the villages. They can start many awareness programmes in the country. They can tell the people about the importance of cleanliness in the life. They can become the role model in this connection by demonstrating it in their own life. They can take out rallies to create awareness about many issues such as Drug Addiction, Save Daughter- Educate Daughter, Crime against Women, Corruption etc. Our PM Narendra Modi is talking about Skilled India, Digital India, Make in India etc. Students can do a lot in realizing this dream and making India technically sound. The students have natural instincts about the latest technology and its use. These technically-savvy students can help the grown-up people in using the latest technology such as Internet, Mobiles etc. The expectations from the students are very high. In order to meet such expectations, the students will have to be morally, mentally and healthily sound. Weak students can’t do any thing for themselves, what will they do for the country? They need to be ideals – ideal students, ideal doctors, ideal lawyers, ideal teachers, ideal leaders and ideal citizens. The students must follow suit of great people of all countries and all ages. They must get inspiration from them. The people like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Mother Teresa must be their role models. The students must also know that honesty is the best policy and hard work is the only key to success. They must adopt such ideals in their lives. They must always bear it in their mind that if they are good, the country shall itself become good. Their country has given them everything, in return they will have to pay back something. For some dollars, they shouldn’t leave their country. They should stay here, serve it and do their duties toward it. In short, students are the real future and treasure of any country. *By- Shruti Sharma, Science Educator Senior Section.* -
Teachers Blessing
5th Sept is celebrated as teacher’s day in India in the memory of ex- president of India Mr. Sarvpalli Radha Krishna. He was born on 5th sep. he was the man to interpret of India’s philosophical and religions traditions to the west. He was the first ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1949 to 1952. He was the dedicated teacher before entering into politics. That’s why we celebrate teacher’s day on his birthday. It is truly known fact that the teachers are the backbone of our society. They play a vital role in building up the characters of students and shape them to become an ideal citizen. On teachers day students pay tribute to their teachers for their hard work and devotion. So on this day students across India dress up as their teachers and take lectures. Sometimes teachers sit in their classes as student trying to relieve the time when they were students .functions are organize in the school. This day provides for a healthy interaction environment between the teachers and students “a good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others” The true teacher defends his students against his own personal influence. The teacher is an integral part of our life and not separated from it. He always has the form of his education in his learners show them the way of life. By- Harshika Kushwah (English educator) -
Ozone layer
The ozone layer is a layer present in earth’s stratosphere that absorbs the harmful sun’s radiation it is discovered by the French physicists Charles Fabry and Henri Buisson. It is fact that very harmful rays come from sun but the ozone layer absorb most of it, so the earth is protected, but at the present time ozone layer is depleted by some harmful gases like chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), carbon-dioxide, methane etc. These gases effect badly on ozone and make hole in ozone layer. Ozone hole the possibility of skin cancer is increasing .it also reduce immunity of human body. Harmful gases are realized by refrigerator, air conditioner and by many other appliances. If we want to protect ourselves from sun’s UV rays, we have to take some strong actions towards nature, and we have to use eco-friendly things and also try to protect our natural environment By-Diya Pathak IX - A
