From the Editor Pane
First of all I welcome all the students and staff members of AMI Shishu Mandir to the new Academic session 2017-18.
This is a new beginning, a new session for all of us. So stop worrying about the past and look towards the future. A new goal is waiting for us to achieve. So get up and get set go……..
Further, we also need to be aware of our surroundings. Everything happening around us affects us or our families in one or the other way. Be it the introduction of GST or the Prime Minister’s visit to Israel or President Trump coming and meeting the Indian PM in the UN meeting. Though sometimes we do not care to know anything in this regard but we as future generation of India need to be aware of these things. Further, it increases our knowledge and Logical Power, which is going to help in our future. Only getting good marks is not enough.
I request and hope that you will pay heed to it and will be a little more LOGICAL.

After rejuvenating summer vacations of two months, we all are here to learn new skills, values and behaviors ; and to expand the depth of our knowledge and experience. The ability to learn is possessed by humans. Learning does not happen all at once. It builds upon and is shaped by previous knowledge. It is a life-long process.
Every child is a competent learner from birth. Children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. The environment plays a key role in supporting a child’s development. We need to give children opportunities to develop trust and autonomy, which will nurture confidence, self-esteem and courage and allow them to develop as spontaneous creative individuals.
Effective teachers understand that learning is about exploring the unknown and such exploration begins with questions; questions that open a door to deeper understanding. Students learn when teachers show them how much they need to learn. So when it comes to teaching, what you do is nearly as important as what you say. After all your students are watching you. . .. . .

Importance of Festivals
We all love celebrations, and we all love festivals. We celebrate different kinds of festivals. India is a country of diverse culture, different people from different religions stay here with peace and harmony. All religions have there own festivals but in india people of every religion celebrate each and every festival. Festivals are good and best way of showing happiness. We met many people in festivals, in today's new industrial era we all are busy in study, earing our livelihood , we do not have time to spend with are family members and our relative's. All elders gave wishes to all their youngers on festivals . Wr celebrate many festivals like diwali, holi, pongal, eid, christmas, sankranti, republic day, independence day etc. As we all know that in ancient times british ruled on our country and we fight for our independence so we celebrate that day as a independence day, so we can say that festivals are the good way of showing courage and sacrifices of our great leaders and fighters who fight for our independence festivals are very in our life because they are the only source of meating tjose people whom we can not meet in our day to day life. Festivals increases love among people, every dispute get solved on festivals because those peoples who do not get cuance to solve their problems will meet happily by forgetting all about the disputes. Some of the important Hindu festivals are Holi, Diwali, Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja. In Bihar Chhath is a great festival. Chhath is a worship of the sun. The sun gives us light and also life. So, the Hindus regard the sun as a god and worship him. We used to respect each and every festival and celebrate every festival happily with full enjoy and love.festival create a sense of cultural unity and brotherhood they they also inspire a sense of purity in our life. Children’s day
Children’s day , also known as Bal Diwas is celebrated every year on the 14th of November to increase the awareness of people towards the rights care and education of children. Children who are the future of the nation, and will lead the nation to progress in a different and new technological way. This day, also known for the birthday of Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru, who was the first Prime minister of India, loved children very much. He worked for the well being of children and for their education, progress and development of the youth of the country. Children affectionately called him Chacha Nehru. He established various educational Institutes for the students. He also provided free and compulsory education , free meals including milk for children, vaccination programs for kids etc. And so this day was chosen to celebrate the children’s day in India. The childhood is the best part of everybody’s life. But this is also the time when we need to give shape to their life and wings to their future. If guided properly , every individual can do wonders in his or her field. Everyone of us need to understand the importance of this and as parents, teachers and responsible citizens of India, we should take care that the youth of our country is provided with the best of resources in terms of education, health facilities etc. Also, the moral values are degrading with time. So, we need to take care that the children are instilled with the moral values along with the technical values .this will check the increasing crime rate in future making the nation prosper and will lead India to be the best nation of the world. *By- Neha Agrawal, English Educator Senior Section.*
