From the Editor's Pen
WE live today in a rapid changing world at a accelerated rate. Today's education is so different from the one we were educated in. So we, as educators, need to prepare our children to face the challenges that the future holds. It's true that children must be taught how to think not what to think. And for this, we, the teachers have to motivate them for getting knowledge, imagination and innovation by implementing in them the urge to learn through the curriculum. We need to motivate the weak, to address the average and challenge the gifted and prepare the children to face life's ordeals. Even as our teaching must impact education to match the advancement in technology and globalization with the ethos of moral values and principles. We endeavored constantly to instill these qualities in our children and pride ourselves to help them grow and development sensitive and responsible citizens of the next generation. As "Educating the mind without the heart is no education at all".
So the AMI Chronicles marks our growth, unfolds our imagination and aspirations and gives life to out thoughts and aspirations. It unleashes a wide spectrum of creative skills ranging from writing to editing.

71 years of Independence. In these years India has undoubtedly achieved much and has evolved as a strong nation in the world’s map. But a country’s development should not be stagnant. We still have much more to do.We should be careful and contribute our might in building a better nation. We are fortunate to be born in a free country. We don’t have to fight for our basic rights. Then what freedom means for us? Freedom means to be free from every vice that may hinder our development. This is a big responsibility of the youth of our country. Our goal lies in enhancing our land’s richness and growth.Real independence should be in churning the opportunity to create a nation which is not injured by the shackles of catechism, religious intolerance, lack of education, communism terrorism and corruption. Caste-ism and communism will not help the country. There should be no violence in the name of faith. There should be peace and unity. A country is built by the strength of its citizens. So it is our responsibility to make our country strong by overcoming our weaknesses.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO YOU ALL.

We shall ask ourselves a simple question, a basic one, who knows you the best?
It is your parents? Your friends? Your teacher? Who, I hope you answer “None but me myself”, because you are your own best supporter, the best adviser, best critic & hence forth best evaluator.
Think it through right now in the time when we live, its very easy to lie about anything and everything to anyone and get along with it, no one to question nor to answer. But how could you lie to yourself because you know your reality and where did you cheat.
Its imperative to set up a goal or start to do list, try and achieve it, even if you can’t figure out what were the obstacles and how could you over come them and this is an open task if you want to do it, do it else don’t but you must know one thing, the day you start being accountable to yourself is the day you are on the verge of growth and limitless success this is possible because out of all, the only human that can bring success to your life is you, so pull your socks and be your own hero.

Technological Innovation - Sophia the robot
Sophia the robot has become a cultural icon.
To understand Sophia, it's important to understand its creator, David Hanson. He's the founder and CEO of Hanson Robotics, but he hasn't always been a major figure in the AI world.
"From a software point of view you'd say Sophia is a platform, like a laptop is a platform for something," Said Ben Goertzel, chief scientist at Hanson Robotics. "You can run a lot of different software programs on that very same robot."
Sophia has three different control systems, according to Goertzel: Timeline Editor, Sophisticated Chat System and Open Cog. Timeline Editor is basically a straight scripting software. The Sophisticated Chat System allows Sophia to pick up on and respond to key words and phrases. And Open Cog grounds Sophia's answers in experience and reasoning. This is the system they're hoping to one day grow into AGI.

Parent’s Behavior Affecting Children
A child at any age is a creature who is aware of the existence of justice & fairness. One supreme psychological need of the child is – the opportunity for play. Play is the child’s means of living & understanding. Each individual child has , his or her own interests, inclination & pace of progress. Children should be given ample opportunities for free activities during their leisure time.
A young child is by nature a wonderful mimic & will imitate the actions of the elders of his companions & when he succeeds a little, he would be proud of his performance & take pleasure in repeating the same actions again & again, till a habit is formed. It is for this reason the elders at home, to whom the child looks up should set a fine example by their orderly & proper behavior. Happiness is the birth right of every child. It is when this basic right is denied to children in some measure or other that they become difficult to manage, misbehave & get into trouble.
Every family desires children. But what about their future? It is our duty to bring them up as useful members of our community. We have the responsibility to train them up to become good citizens of our country & at the same time to develop their individuality so that they can go out into the world with confidence & courage. To do this successfully, every parent must strive to understand the working of the minds of the children, that is his or her psychology.
In general, we must know the broad characteristics of our wards. In order to do the right upbringing of children, we must take into account many factors both physical & environment.
