Praying for World Peace !!
War is perhaps one of the most widely discussed topic, nevertheless it results in many, many innocent lives being lost.
In ancient times too, the wars were prevalent. But the nations were fighting honestly with more honorable reasons. But in the present time, the nations are using cowardly methods of fighting such as chemical warfare, the H-bomb. Powerful nations are able to coax nations into submission by threatening them with the big bad nuclear bomb.
War brings many institutional, technical and economical changes. Its influence on institutions and business is most significant. Though war produce shuge loss, it becomes beneficial to the aircraft and electronic industries as it results in large contracts and related development budgets.
Many countries see some advantages in war such as economic growth and technological advancement. War can strengthen an economy by providing jobs. Also, war allows manufacturing to thrive, especially weapons and ammunition manufacturing.Competition and conflict tend to lead the nationstrying todevelop better technology than their opponents.
Wars have their own disadvantages. The most important of them is the casualities. The loss of lives is an inevitable part of war. Sadly, lots of the lives that get lost are of innocent people who get caught up in the situation, and of course, many opponents of war who advocate of world peace tend to see that side of war.War is often used to justify hatred and discrimination against certain groups.
Modern warfare has been known to cause damage to the environment. The notable examplesare the damage done to the oilfields of Kuwait during the Gulf War of the early 90’s andthe spraying of herbicides over the forests of Vietnam by America in 60’s and 70’s.. This resulted in numerous toxins sinking into the soil and sea, many plants dying, many animals siring deformed offspring, and numerous other dreadful consequences.
What if the “bad guy” wins? – What tyrannical nations will do if they conquer. I don’t think there is any need to describe it.
Simply, common people have never been supportive of modern warfare, nor have ever believed the reasons for war. We can enjoy war in fiction and fantasy that too just for entertainment and nothing else. We all oppose war. Though we realize that some wars had to be fought in the past, still hoping we won’t have to fight any war for the wrong reasons in the future.

I wish that a UTOPIAN STATE exists!
Utopia: A place, state, or condition that is ideally perfect in respect of politics, laws, customs, and conditions. This does not mean that the people are perfect, but the system is perfect. In a Utopian Society. information, independent thought, and freedom are promoted.
If happiness is the end(aim, goal) of a flourishing human life, then understanding its form should provide insight into what subordinate goods we ought to pursue and how we ought to pursue them” (Lear, 2004, p. 23). It should also be borne in mind that Aristotle believed that a fulfilled life is a life lived “in accordance with virtue” (Hughes, 2001, p. 53). His ergon argument concludes that “human happiness consists in the exercise of the virtues” (Aristotle, 2004, p. xiv). He discusses ergon—or the characteristic activity—in the Nicomachean Ethics in the following terms: “But perhaps saying that happiness is the chief good sounds rather platitudinous, and one might want its nature to be specified still more clearly. It is possible that we might achieve that if we grasp the characteristic activity of a human being.
For just as the good—the doing well—of a flute player, a sculptor or any practitioner of a skill, or generally whatever has some characteristic activity or action, is thought to lie in its characteristic activity, so the same would seem to be true of a human being, if indeed he has a characteristic activity (Aristotle, 2004). According to Crisp, this ‘characteristic activity of human beings’ “is the exercise of reason: that is what, Aristotle thinks, makes human beings what they are. The good of a human being, then, will be exercising that capacity well. But what is it to do that? The good is acting well, and acting well is acting in accordance with the virtues. So exercising rationality well will consist in exercising rationality in acting virtuously.” (Aristotle, 2004, p. xiii) Aristotle would, in Moss’s words, ‘reject’ that virtue is ‘an emotion or a capacity’ and “argues instead that [it] is a habit or disposition in actions or emotions […] a disposition to choose the right thing, that is, the mean between extremes as determined by a prudent person. Courage, for instance, lies between the extremes of cowardice and recklessness. In Aristotle’s view, a virtuous person would be disposed to choose a course of action between such extremes […]” (Aristotle, 2004, p.
Does a Utopian State have any place for war?
Let there be peace
