From the Editor's pen
Again it is that time of the year when we bid adieu to the present year and welcome the upcoming year with outstretched arms, hope, the zeal to work towards our goals and new dreams. Last two years have been difficult on us. The pandemic made us stay away from our loved ones, live in the constant fear of a virus taking our near and dear ones away. Though the danger is not over yet. Coronavirus is not gone. The world is not talking about Omicron. The virus has appeared with a new name and in a more dangerous form.However, it's now time to say goodbye to another year. We know when we are together, we can beat the virus. When we have hope in our hearts and precautionary measures up our sleeves, we can always emerge victorious. The announcement, made by our Honourable Prime Minister , that India will start vaccinating the children between the age of 15-18, is appreciable and very much needed. It will prove a very secure step taken for the students as they have to appear for their Board exams. ‘Precaution dose’ for FLWs, HLWs and senior citizens will also be started in January. Let’s hope and pray for everyone’s safety from the virus. Wish you all a very happy new year with your loved ones by your side and a smile on your face.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

A BEGINNING OF A NEW YEAR
The New Year signifies that the time has arrived to bid farewell to the by-gone year and to welcome the New Year. Traditionally, the New Year was celebrated on the first of March every year. However, this date was switched to January 1 as it is considered to have a more religious significance. With the growth of the western culture across the globe, New Year’s Day on January 1 in the Gregorian calendar has been one of India’s many celebrations. There are different opinions as to when New Year’s Day that falls on January 1 in the Gregorian calendar was first celebrated in India. Some say that it was observed when the British colonized India while others say that its popularity bloomed only after the 1940s.As such there are no materialistic symbols linked with this event in India however one gets to experience the vibrant colors and joyful atmosphere filled with prayers and social feasts. People across India escalate their happiness with good music, dance, crackers and lighting." Ring out 2021
“Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the grief that saps the mind
For those that here we see no more;
Ring out the feud of rich and poor,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
Ring out a slowly dying cause,
And ancient forms of party strife;
Ring in the nobler modes of life,
With sweeter manners, purer laws.
Ring out the want, the care, the sin,
The faithless coldness of the times;
Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes
But ring the fuller minstrel in.
Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
Ring out old shapes of foul disease;
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;
Ring out the thousand wars of old,
Ring in the thousand years of peace.
Ring in the valiant man and free,
Ring out the darkness of the land.”
With these lines of the greatest poet of all times,
Alfred Lord Tennyson, Let us all
RING OUT THE OLD
RING IN THE NEW…
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Importance of continuous testing in schools
Every child has a different learning style and capability. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding. The understanding capacity of students can be judged with the help of continuous testing.
Through continuous testing,Students can know their strengths and weaknesses. It provides information on the progress of students in scholastic & co-scholastic areas. It also aids in the improvement of each student’s performance through proper guidance.
Continuous testing develops them as an individual, gives them values, extraordinary thinking, self-assessment and helps them to overcome failures & fill them with positivity.
