FROM THE EDITOR'S PEN
Dear all,
In today's scenario, we must be more careful and alert to save ourselves from cold, cough and fever as the winter has come now. Everyone is required to stay home and be safe.
Christmas festival is observed in the month of December. World computer Literacy Day is observed on 2nd December ,where computer education and it's existence is promoted among the people considering that the world works on the PC and computerized devices ,which have become a fundamental need in this pandemic scenario . It is the need of today's world to adopt the advanced technology in the field of computers from analytical to digital.
Since 1949, 7 December is observed as the Armed Forces Flag Day throughout the country to honour the martyrs and the man in uniform who valiantly fought and continues to fight on our borders to safeguard the country's honour. Soldiers are the guardians of the nation and protect its citizens at all cost .To fulfill their duties, soldiers have sacrificed a lot of things in their lives. It's our duty not only to show our admiration for the martyrs and the living heroes who were wounded while doing their duties but also for their families who have been a crucial part of this sacrifice.
Human Rights Day is observed on 10th December-- the day the United Nations General Assembly was adopted , in 1948 --the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This year's Human Rights Day theme relates to the covid-19 pandemic and focuses on the need to build back better by ensuring human rights as central to recovery efforts. We will reach our goals only if we are able to create equal opportunities for all those who are exploited by covid-19 and applies human rights standards to tackle entrenched, systematic and international inequalities, exclusion and discrimination.
Christmas is celebrated on 25th December to remember the birth of Jesus Christ who Christians believe is the son of God . It's a time when family and friends come together and remember the good things they have. The true message of Christmas is to give up one's very self --to think only of others and to bring the greatest happiness to other.
This year due to the dread of covid-19 the festive period is likely to be different. We can celebrate by forming a Christmas bubble and meet and celebrate the party online. We should stay home and enjoy a good time with our friends, family members and relatives on zoom.
Happy Christmas to all.

Winter season may be harsh but it is heart-warming too. People may enjoy the snow-clad mountains ….but at the same time bone-piercing cold waves are also there. We are going to mark a significant fall in temperature in the coming days. It is also being considered that the Covid situation will turn worse with the change in temperature. So now we have to take extra precautions to stay safe from this pandemic. So feel the warmth …be comfortable at your home… ……and enjoy good food in this winter…..but don’t forget to follow the safety measures.
Students, you are away from the regular school from a long time. Apart from your regular study what you all are doing to grow as a person? School teaches you to be disciplined and organized. So when you are away from here …try not to lag behind in improving your skills.
Children learn life skills from the environment. Parents, family, teachers play an important role in it. Life skills are the skills you need to manage the activities and challenges of everyday life effectively. Life skills help you to find new ways of thinking. They help you to take responsibility….to recognize the impact of your actions. Acquiring skills builds the confidence … improves your spoken and communication skill . .. and teaches you to be co-operative. In this constant changing environment to cope with the increasing pace and changes of modern life, students need to learn new life skills to deal with the stress and frustration.
At home you can practice some life skill activities like focusing , concentration, management , taking on challenges, self- directed engaged learning. You must practice to make your listening skill better. Think about other person’s view….how they think and how they feel. Practice self-management….work as a team. Take participation in household chores. It will teach you to be organized and accountable. Communication is the skill that is more needed because it decides what one wants to communicate and how it will be understood by the others.
Develop negotiation skills, practice adaptability to the situation and many more essential skills that will prove beneficial for life. So dear students , eat well , exercise well , study hard & utilize you time to grow as a person who is ready to take the challenges of life.
Happy winter !!

WINTER SOLSTICE
The winter solstice this year happens on December 21. This is when the Sun appears the lowest in the Northern Hemisphere sky and is at its farthest Southern point over Earth – directly over the Tropic of Capricorn. As the sun's rays fall vertically at the Tropic of Capricorn (23½⁰S), a larger portion of the Southern Hemisphere gets light. Therefore, it is summer in the Southern Hemisphere with longer days and shorter nights. The reverse happens in the Northern Hemisphere. This position of the earth is called the WINTER SOLSTICE.
But even though this is the point with the least hours of daylight, it's not the earliest sunset of the year, or the latest sunrise. The mornings continue darkening until early in the New Year. The reason why is that a day - a solar day that is - is not always exactly 24 hours.
The winter solstice doesn’t coincide with the latest sunrise or the earliest sunset. Those actually occur about two weeks before and two weeks after the WINTER SOLSTICE. This is because we are changing our distance from the sun due to our elliptical, not circular, orbit, which changes the speed.
One should also keep in mind that the seasons are due to the Earth’s axial tilt, not our distance from the Sun. Believe it or not, we are closest to the Sun in January.
Is the Winter solstice good or bad news?
Pro: On the plus side, you could take advantage of the extra hours of darkness to do some stargazing.
Con: It also means though you'll be leaving the house for school when it's dark, and coming home when it's starting to get dark too.

This year's Human Rights Day theme is related to COVID-19 and focus on the need to build back Better by ensuring human rights and concern on recovery efforts. AMI YOUR FOREVER FRIEND
As the year draws to a close with the start of December, it’s time to reflect over the year gone by.
If you ask me, I can only talk about the first three months as the year 2020. Everything came to a STANDSTILL on 22 March and after that I really can’t say that the time was passing! After that it was nothing but LOCKDOWN, DISTANCE, MASK,………….a big suspension of activities that we normally indulge in; the weddings, the birthday parties, the anniversary celebrations, the for-no-reason parties and of course the race for the interviews, selections, competitions.
However this pandemic calamity has made all a little more tolerant. We have stopped getting into each others’ hair! Father has more time; is at home more often than he ever was! We also get a feel of the difficulties that we all have as a family and have to cut down on expenses, be less demanding, take NO as a NO when mother says so! After all the family has to stand together! The positive and homely environment has brought a good change in human behavior. People were relaxing, spending more time on their hobbies and interests, and were having fun at home. The bonds grew thicker.
People had more of me-time, enjoyed a cup of tea sitting in the balcony, listening to the birds chirping, and breathe fresh air. The desperate rush to reach destinations has stopped.
Nature is at its best. One can hear the chirping of birds. Suddenly all species have come alive and the varieties of flora and fauna is visible to all. The air is clear, pollution has reduced. The animal world has begun to wonder where the homo sapiens have fled to! At last the animals are where they are meant to be; out in the open, free to wander.
The way we are operating is very different from what has been happening for years. Suddenly from teachers to students, from grand-moms to grandsons everyone is tech savvy! Teachers teaching online, sending work on line, have mastered the art. Till now some of them could not even send a mail but lo behold now all of them are sending and DEMANDING work…! This has certainly enhanced skills. That’s why they are called eternal students.
There are always two sides to a coin, and this lockdown also has a negative impact on human behavior. But today I am only going to talk about the good side. Motivating ourselves is in our hands. Our culture and tradition teaches us to withstand adversities. Our texts- granths are replete with stories that encourage us to have faith, believe, hope. I think this is a good time to hit the pause button and remind ourselves that resilience and hope (even humour!) can be just as contagious. Write down what you can and cannot control, do not skip your medical appointments, order online- even medicines, limit exposure to media & indulge in meaningful activities, practise personal self-care& boost immunity, Social distancing does not mean social isolation so play virtual games on Facetime, Skype or watch that movie you missed on youtube. AND when in trouble ask for counseling. We can rise above the chaos.
I hope that the bad bit will be soon OVER with the end of this year. After all I am a very positive person BUDDY!!!

The importance of coding for the Future Learning
An increasingly sought after aptitude, computer programming skills have become the responsibility of the educator, and not only in higher education. Primary schools and nurseries are keys to influencing the next generation of professionals by igniting an early interest in the STEM fields. If a child can fantasies about one day walking on the moon, why shouldn’t their imagination be open to becoming a computer wizard?
What is coding
Put simply, Coding is the method of communicating with a computer. It is using a language that a computer understands to give computer instructions in order to perform specific functions. Coding allows us to create things such as computer software, websites, apps and video games.
There are various types of different code, depending on what you want to develop and different “programming languages” that each have their own set of rules. But basically, coding is giving instructions to a computer in order to produce a desired outcome.
Children need to be literate in technology throughout their education, developing ideas, learning new methods and putting them to the test. Even non-IT based jobs require a basic understanding of the digital landscape. There has been a shift in the past decade as to what a ‘digital job’ is, and relatively new professions, including SEO specialists and data analysts, now fall under this remit. It’s our role to prepare young people for the new economy, with a highly desirable skill set that stands the next generation in good stead.
“I think it's fair to say that personal computers have become the most empowering tool we've ever created. They're tools of communication, they're tools of creativity, and they can be shaped by their user.”

How South Korea Inspires Me
How South Korea inspires me, I can give the answer in a single sentence-"
South Korea inspired me as a daughter inspired from the mother and son inspired from the father . Firstly I get inspired from the architecture ( gate style, Temples, Churches) , culture, religion and tradition of South Korea . In the field of culture and tradition I like the way in which they Pay tribute to the person or God .
Another inspiration is of the social life of the South Korea I think this is awesome for example in the South Korea if there is a paint work is ongoing in any society or building then the workers first cover all the vehicles or other important monuments of an area by the poly bags so they can't be damaged or Harm by the colours.
Another feature that inspired me alot are humanity and honesty. In South Korea If any person forgets the ATM,cash or any other document in any place then the other person does not steal them , they leave them and move on. Another example is that if one person is tired in the office or any place then the other person helps them by doing massage , doing their work.
The best thing that inspired me alot from South Korean is the security of the women and ladies . The most valuable and truthful example for the security of the women's and ladies is that, In South Korea the parking places are divided into two parts , For the ladies the parking slots are generally red or pink in colour while for the males they are yellow or any other colour.
The another most striking features of the South Korea that inspired me a lot where are as follow :-
1. Food - The thing that I loved in South Korea is their food serving style. According to me their plating skill should be given first in the world. For example suppose if we ordered the soup in the restaurant then they not only serve the soup alone but they also serve different types of additional flavors, sauces, spices etc with soup that's why their plating And serving style is excellent. Another thing that inspired me is that - suppose if we go to a restaurant then there is a facility in which both the customers and waiters can cook the food according to their need and taste.
2. Songs - The BTS group is the world famous group mainly for singing. Their songs are not only listened to in South Korea but also in each country, even I also listen to their songs.
3. Work - The other best thing that inspired me alot from South Korea is their working style. In their country the work is important, not if it is small or Big. All the people's and all the work's are considered equal.
So as a conclusion I can say that South Korea is the country from which I am inspired from all things whether it is related to food, clothes, security,
