By Arjit Sharma,Student Editor, Head BoyThis is the time of great changes. In education too, we see fast changes. The student today is an individual, is a real person with feelings, self respect, sensitivity, responsibility and compassion. They are the wealth of the nation and creators of tomorrow. They have boundless source of energy, capability, zeal, enthusiasm and have the power to mold the destiny of a nation.
We as teachers need to recognize, appreciate, applaud and foster the fine blend of sensibilities in a child. AMI Chronicles is just that. This is a launchpad for the student's creative urges to blossom naturally. This humble initiative is to set the budding minds free allowing them to roam free in the realm of imagination and provide us the best of their creations. AMI Chronicles presents the school spirit through the collective efforts of our children and teachers.

Madam Maria Montessori
Maria Montessori was always a little ahead of her time. At age thirteen, against the wishes of her father but with the support of her mother, she began to attend a boys’ technical school. After seven years of engineering she began premed and, in 1896 became a physician.
In her work at the University of Rome psychiatric clinic Dr. Montessori developed an interest in the treatment of special needs children and, for several years, she worked, wrote, and spoke on their behalf. In 1907 she was given the opportunity to study “normal” children, taking charge of fifty poor children of the dirty, desolate streets of the San Lorenzo slum on the outskirts of Rome. The news of the unprecedented success of her work in this Casa Dei Bambini “House of Children” soon spread around the world, people started coming from far and wide to see the children for themselves.
Dr. Montessori was as astonished as anyone to realize the potential of these children:Supposing I said there was a planet without schools or teachers, study was unknown, and yet the inhabitants – doing nothing but living and walking about – came to know all things, to carry in their minds the whole of learning: would you not think I was romancing?
Well, just this, which seems so fanciful as to be nothing but the invention of a fertile imagination, is a reality. It is the child’s way of learning. This is the path he follows. He learns everything without knowing he is learning it, and in doing so passes little from the unconscious to the conscious, treading always in the paths of joy and love. -
"India On Globe"
The whole world is seeing a huge change in world politics, with Donald Trump (Presidential candidate of Republican party, USA) winning the elections, Vladimir Putin showing aggressive attitude towards the war that is going on in Syria and Iraq against ISIS, and of course our PM Narendra Modi getting the popular votes forTime's Magazine. So how is this going to affect the fate and future of India ?
First of all, the United State elections were definitely a turn around for the whole world. Everybody was convinced that Hillary would become the lady POTUS (President of the United States) after many years, but Donald Trump's win over Democrats showed that the citizens of USA wanted a leader who talks on real issues. They wanted someone who openly talks about main vital causes of terrorism, unlike Clinton.
So how does it affect India ? Well the answer is, either it will be beneficial for India, or it won't affect it at all. India is one of the world's fastest growing economy, with its GDP surpassing Britain's GDP any time soon has no issues whether it is Hillary or Trump. India is in a dominant position in the world's economy, so every nation wants to invest in India (Apart from Pakistan). And Trump has already said under his presidency, India and USA will become 1st class alliance partners. This is definitely good for India, both economically and socially.
And of course being a good partner with USA, India can act as a bridge of friendship between USA and Russia, which will ultimately be a bane for terrorism and terrorist nations, Trump has already shown his intent against ISIS, and so has Putin.
India has an opportunity to wrap the competition and become one of the strongest nations, apart from America and Russia. The whole world is seeing India as the third largest superpower in the world after Russia and America, and the credit goes to our new foreign policy and due to the full majority of central government. Honorable PM has changed the view of India completely, now everyone is convinced that India is the ocean of opportunities.

Discipline
This is the golden word in the whole life of man. We achieve goals and success by discipline. It is the most indispensable quality of life. It improves the perfection of man and plays an important role in every walk of life. It is the law of nature. Discipline is essential for our society and by this we can set goals in our lives . Our progress, strength, strategy, peace of mind and hard work and many more things depend upon discipline. We are first taught about discipline and how it is important in our lives at home. Every child is taught discipline by their parents because parents are our first teachers, who bring discipline and manner in our lives. Discipline shows the personality of a man and his behavior. It is discipline that teaches us to subordinate our selfish desires to greater interest of human society. Discipline gives moral values of life. I would like to write a few words about discipline ;
" As code of conduct,
In the community,
Society Country and world,
Respect man's politeness,
and behaviour,
because it shows the,
whole personality."
It is true that it is very easy to give an example but it is very difficult to be an example.

"An AMItian Forever"
The person that I am, I owe it to my school.
And the thought of leaving it is grave ridicule,
With the farewell coming near, I see myself rewind,
Those rules taught me values, I would bear in mind,
The guideline & learning, I have received here,
& the fun & laughter are my saviour,
From the challenges that made me strong,
To all those moments, that I'll cherish Life-Long.
Princi's strictness shows her dedication. she's the lady who inspires my generation. Teachers who care & are so frank, they scold & take part in our pranks, Friends so loving are dear to my heart. Their being mischievous & helpful, is itself is an art.
Sports led me to the passion, I wanted & completely detached the fear that haunted. Trips had so much in store; words can't express how much I adore.
One thing is there, of which I am so sure...................................All the students who have come along, love our school, where we do belong.
Time spent here, I'll treasure forever. Life may change, but I shall keep it dear forever.................

Sports
Sports is my passion, speed is my life because I believe that if you want to be the fastest then you have to focus on your positive energy.
Dear Friends, to be the sports captain of A.M.I. Shishu Mandir was my dream since my childhood. I can’t express my feelings in words, when I came to know that I was elected through the cut throat competition for this prestigious post. OMG….. Vinayak Sharma – The Sports Captain. I am thrilled! Hahahah………….
As Principal Mam says, the post brings bigger responsibilities. To maintain the dignity of this post, I have to take bigger challenges now on my shoulders. By the Grace of God and blessings of my teachers and well wishers, we have conducted so many sports competitions in A.M.I. In this session Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Volleyball, Football and Cricket are some of the matches that were played. Inter house competition of athletics, cycling and shortput were awesome. Students enjoyed a lot and showed their tremendous energy. One game that has been played for the first time in our school was basketball. Within a short period of time, we have practiced a lot. The day is not for off, when the basketball team of A.M.I. will definitely claim the trophy.
Here are the rules for playing basket ball-
1. A player cannot run with the ball the player must throw it from the spot on which he catches it. Allowance to be made for a man who catches the ball when running at a good speed if he tries to stop.
2. No shouldering, holding, striking, pushing or tripping in one way of an opponent. The first infringement of this rule by any person shall count as a foul, he is disqualified until the next basket is made or, if there was evident intent to injure the person for the whole of the game no substitution shall be allowed.
3. If either side makes three consecutive fouls, it shall count a goal for the opponents (consecutive means without the opponents in the mean time making a foul).
4. The umpire shall be the judge of the men and shall note the fouls and notify the referee. When three consecutive fouls have been made. He shall have power to disqualify people according to rule 2.
5. The referee shall be judge of the ball and shall decide when the ball is in play, in bounce, to which side it belongs, and shall keep the time. He shall decide when a goal has been made and keep account of the baskets with any other duties that are usually performed by a scorekeeper.
6. The time shall be two fifteen minute halves , with five minutes’ rest between.

Demonetization
Demonetization
Meaning:-Demonetization of a currency is a radical monetary step in which a currency unit status is declared invalid followed by the introduction of new currency unit.
In simple words ”withdrawal of a particular form of currency from circulation is demonetization”.
Such step has also been taken earlier by some other countries. Soviet Union, Britain, Nigeria, North Korea, Australia, Singapore, Zimbabwe are the examples. Even European monetary union nations resorted to this step when they adopted Euro as their currency.
Demonetization for us means that Reserve Bank of India has withdrawn the old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes as an official mode of payment.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
Jingle bells Jingle bells,
jingle all the way:
Santa Claus is coming around riding on his sleigh. .. .””
It seemed as if Santa had really come among us when our little ones from Montessori came wearing the red gowns of Santa. All the teachers also wore Santa’s colours.
On December 21, the school celebrated Christmas with great fervor and zeal. The school was decorated with colourful streamers, silver tinsels and golden bells. It was a great pleasure to have RTO Bhind, also an AMItian as the chief guest, Mr Tarun Singh Bhadoriya at the function. Children enthusiastically took part in dance and sang Christmas carols. Performances of the children stole everybody’s heart.

JOY Of CLASS BUNKING
As we all know everyone bunks the class sometime in life. If someone does not do so, the reason might be that either he did not get the chance to do so or they did not have the courage.
Courage:-Yes, it is the most important ingredient in the recipe of bunking; without courage, you can not even think of bunking the class.
The second most important ingredient, for this is planning. Lot of planning is involved as you have to think of a new and good enough excuse every time. This becomes more difficult when you decide to do mass bunking. The problem with mass bunking is that you have to think of more than one reason at the same time.
The reasons vary, individuals celebrating friend's birthday; to watch movies or simply to get out of the test.
I want to share one incidence with you. Once we decided to watch a movie during school time. For bunking school we had to do the planning , as where to meet, at what time etc. Soon, the day came when we had to bunk the school. We got ready in our school uniform and started for school. We had already kept our casual dresses and our school bags. We met at the decided place at the exact time. Then we went to watch a movie. We enjoyed a lot there. On our way back home we were identified by our class teacher. We knew that we will be called by her the next day in the school. So we all were ready with our excuses (like I have a test at coaching, not well, work at home etc). We all escaped from punishment to our surprise. Mam just smiled and left us giving a warning not to do it again.
I know that its not a good thing to bunk a class but when I am with my friends, we enjoy and burst out laughing remembering this incident . Really I will miss my school life and my school friends a lot.
